Although it’s sponsored stuff for him (hey, there’s nothing wrong with getting paid), Kris Bryant has had some seriously awesome offseason adventures over the past few years:
- Kris Bryant thinks he’s hitting off the sound guy, but it’s actually Greg Maddux
- Kris Bryant drives a Lyft around Chicago
- Kris Bryant sky dives over a volcano
- Kris Bryant pretends to be the new kid
And he isn’t stopping anytime soon.
While in Austria for his honeymoon, Bryant has already had some fun walking around interviewing locals who have no idea who he is. And more recently, he’s, uh, given me a heart attack by driving a car WAY TOO FAST at the Red Bull Ring:
According to the accompanying article, Bryant drove a Nissan 37Oz up to 111 MPH on a “cloudy and slick 40-degree day,” and later did some drift training with a professional.
“My heart was beating a little fast, but super fun,” Bryant said. “I always wanted to get on the track and see how fast I could go.” Okay, so that’s totally freakin’ awesome – and definitely something I’d love to try – but PLEASE be careful, Mr. MVP.
I love Javy, but I’m not ready for a new full-time third baseman just yet.
