San Francisco Giants fans are undoubtedly excited to see their ace warming up at Spring Training, and getting ready for another year:

But how exactly did Bumgarner arrive at Giants camp? Train? Plane? Automobile?
Horse?
Maybe that sounds like a crazy question, but Bumgarner has arrived to a Giants game astride his trusty steed before – he pulled it off for Opening Day last year.
But, no, he didn’t arrive literally atop a horse this year to Spring Training … but he did bring his horses along with him to Scottsdale, Arizona:

According to the Mercury News article cited by Big League Stew, Bumgarner was a little cagey about the details of his equestrian travels, confirming only that he hauled the horses across the country from North Carolina in a trailer that broke down at one point during the long trek.
I like to imagine it like Oregon Trail, with a broken axel and Bumgarner out in the woods, hunting for food … netting only a squirrel. And then getting dysentery before having to ford the river. But he’s fine now. Everything is fine.
