Astros Mascot is Kind of Like the Robin Hood of Cotton Candy (VIDEO)

Funny and Happy

Team mascots often rub people the wrong way. They can be annoying, uninspired, repetitive, uninspired, or most of all, distracting. I don’t necessarily agree, but I can certainly understand – especially if you’re not at the game with kids. But sometimes, with the right idea and the perfect execution, these mascots can be pretty great entertainment – like the Astros mascot, Orbit, at the Astros/Red Sox game yesterday:

He’s like Robin Hood! “Stealing from the cotton candy rich and giving to the cotton candy-less!” You may have seen it coming from a mile away, but that was funny and a great way to improve the overall “fun” at the ballpark.

You get the BIF Stamp of Approval, Orbit. Well done.

Probably doesn’t top the dance competition, though, and maybe not even the fight with the Phillie Phanatic.
