After weeks of speculation, and a hyped workout, former NFL quarterback (and high school baseball player) Tim Tebow is signing with a Major League Baseball organization:

The minor league seasons are at a close, so, as Schefter indicates, Tebow would have to play in instructional baseball this fall or the Arizona Fall League (prestigious and prospect-heavy) if he wants to get into action in advance of next season. Hopefully we get a chance to see what he’s got in the tank.
