Just one day after they were robbed of a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning (that carried significant post season implications), the New York Mets were granted sweet, sweet redemption last night at Citi Field.
Down two runs, with two on, and one out in the bottom of the 11th inning, Asdrubal Cabrera stepped up to the plate. After getting ahead in the count 1-0, Cabrera turned on the second pitch of the at-bat and sent everyone home happy with one swing of the bat:

One monster swing, that is. According to Statcast, that ball traveled 393 feet out to right field with an exit velocity of 102 MPH. More importantly, it helped the Mets keep pace with the Giants and gave them a .5 game lead over the Cardinals in the NL Wild Card.
That race is coming down to the wire, but with only ten games (or so) left, every single win is precious.
