Earlier today, most of the internet was down – namely, Twitter, Reddit, Netflix, etc. And while there were a number of interesting theories regarding what exactly was going on, I’ve recently been made aware of the actual source problem: Bill Murray.
Indeed, Bill Murray broke the internet earlier today, by crashing the White House press briefing room to discuss the Cubs chances against Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers at home. There’s no other explanation. This must have been it.
See for yourself:
According to NBC News, Murray (who is a well-known Cubs fan) wandered into the press briefing room just after White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest had finished his daily briefing. His remarks included a vote of confidence for the Cubs “sticks,” against even a great pitcher like Clayton Kershaw, and the fall weather in Chicago.
It’s terrible news for the Dodgers, of course, because I’m fairly certain that Bill Murray’s word technically becomes law as soon as it’s spoken. Bummer. They were so close.
