You might be familiar with Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons because of his magnificent glove work. But don’t sleep on that bat.
With the game between the Angels and Yankees tied at 5-5 in the seventh inning last night, Simmons made a game-changing play – with one swing of the bat … and one bend of the knee:

Simmons has never been viewed as a power threat, but he’s been an offensive force in 2017 … and he certainly put a charge into that pitch. And how about that follow through! Simmons channeled his inner Adrian Beltre and hit a no-doubter out of a stadium that isn’t all that conducive to home runs.
And we got a quality bat-flip, too? I don’t know what we did to deserve all this goodness in a small clip, but I’ll gladly accept it
Impressive piece of hitting for Simmons.
