It’s been a tough few weeks for the Yankees, who’ve battled through ineffectiveness and a spate of injuries to a 6-17 stretch of ugly baseball.
But, of course, it is baseball, which can turn around on a dime.
So it was today for the Yankees, who trailed the red hot Brewers 3-0 behind Brent Suter, who held the Yankees without a hit until the fifth inning.
That hit came courtesy of youngster Clint Frazier, playing in just his sixth big league game. He later added an RBI on a triple, as the Yankees started coming back in the later innings.
Then, in the 9th inning, he came to the plate with two runners on, and a chance to complete the comeback. Which he did:
