While the following – and astonishing – leaping catch and subsequent flip over the left field foul wall may not surpass the overall impressiveness of Austin Jackson’s recent – and literal – catch of the year for the Red Sox last Tuesday (that one was a home run robbery … in the Major Leagues … at freakin’ Fenway Park) it was arguably just as difficult to pull off.

Man, that looked painful, but fueled on adrenaline, Nichting immediately raises his glove in the air to show that he caught the ball and hops right back over that fence to run back in with it.
Absolutely brilliant play and a solid finish. 10/10.
