Recently, we had some fun at the expense of Tigers left fielder, Mikie Mahtook when he pulled something of a “Canseco-lite” knocking a ball from the field of play over the wall for a homer.

Yeah – pretty embarrassing, but pretty funny, right?
Well, Mahtook might’ve had a sense of humor about that gaffe initially, but I’m starting to wonder if he thinks there’s a raincloud hovering over his head. Because yesterday afternoon, he hit a fly ball out to almost exactly the same spot … but the Royals left fielder, Alex Gordon, is … eh hem … a little more competent with the glove.

Home.Run.Robbery.
While Mahtook took a ball from the field of play to home run territory, Alex Gordon did the opposite, reeling in a would-be homer.
And did you catch Mahtook’s reaction as he rounded first?
