The Grinch Showed Up Behind GM Brian Cashman As He Explained Why the Yankees Whiffed on Ohtani

Yesterday, a large number of MLB teams were told that they were officially out of the running for the two-way Japanese superstar Shohei Ohtani (better known as “The Japanese Babe Ruth”).


Among those teams was one of the presumed early-favorites, the New York Yankees:

Soon after this report surfaced, Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman discussed the missed opportunity with, and in the background was, well, a special guest (and perfect spectre for Cashman’s now-spoiled Christmas):

Hello, Mr. Grinch.

And thank you for ruining the Yankees’ Christmas.
