Last week on Twitter, Sung Min Kim uncovered some hilarious footage of an unconventional batting practice tournament from the MLB-Japan All-Star Series back in 2002.
During which – if I’m understandings all of this correctly – guys like Jason Giambi, Bernie Williams, Torii Hunter, Ichiro, and Barry Bonds competed against their Japanese counterparts in a best of eight (yeah, I know, best of eight doesn’t make any sense) series of unusual batting practice challenges.
One such challenge, included hitting against a pitcher jumping on a trampoline:

Naturally, because Bonds is Bonds, he eventually took him deep:
