When Dancing Around the Plate in Extra Innings Descends into Madness

Funny and Happy, Wild and Crazy

When in doubt: Dance.

Maybe that’s a good life lesson, but it doesn’t work quite as well when the ball beats you to home plate by a mile … in the bottom of the tenth inning of a tied ball game:

I can watch this play a thousand times over, because the pure chaos after the runner misses the plate the first time is hilarious (and the extra-inning stakes make it all the sweeter).

And the best part is that the runner is nearly safe! All the catcher had to do was stand at the plate and wait for Coleman, the runner, to come back to the bag, but because he got too aggressive with his tagging, Coleman nearly slid in safely!

I’d say the catcher owes the pitcher a big old hug after the game, because yeesh … he really bailed him out.
