While Spring Training games don’t technically count in the regular season standings, everyone knows you’re supposed to practice like it’s real, right?
Well that goes double for guys who aren’t guaranteed spots on their team’s Opening Day roster, like Royals (and former Cubs’) outfielder Jorge Soler.
So when a pop-fly floated over near the right field wall of Sunday’s Cubs/Royals tilt, Soler ran full speed ahead, tracking the ball as it soared, only to realize, at the last minute, that there was a ball boy — and a wall – standing in his way.
The result is pretty funny:
Ouch.
