Ichiro Suzuki is not just a old-dude-novelty for the Seattle Mariners, who hope to be at least passably competitive this year in the AL West and/or the Wild Card race. Although he’s coming off a down year in 2017, the 44-year-old future Hall of Famer was actually an extremely useful player in 2016. Moreover, he’s been a solid outfielder even as he enters his twilight-twilight years.
He showed it off today, heading back to the track and robbing a would-be Jose Ramirez homer:

He’s still got it! That did not look especially comfortable whatever Ichiro’s age. He will feel that tomorrow. And then he’ll play, because he just keeps on playing.
