The U.S. Olympic Curling team is the best in the world at what they do. Indeed, they won the gold medal in the 2016 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang – so, it’s like official.
But when it comes to baseball … well, let’s just say they have some work to do.
Watch and laugh as they attempt to throw out multiple “Ceremonial First Pitch(es),” at the Twins game and almost all completely miss their mark.
Here’s @TeamShuster throwing out the first pitch at the @Twins home opener today. Not sure where @tgeorge1323 was aiming. Loved the “curl pitch” from @MattJamilton. Video courtesy of @fsnorth. pic.twitter.com/MFUKNHQe7m

Oh.Dear.God. TAKE COVER!
The curler on the far left (closest to third base) hits his mark perfectly, but curler #2 throws it high and wide … which might not have mattered if curler #3 (on the mound) didn’t let one go straight for catcher #2!
Meanwhile, curler #4 rolled it into the plate, while curler #5 bailed out and lobbed it in.
As you can see, most of the ceremonial receivers run for cover just seconds after the first pitch is thrown, and for good reason!
