Last year, Astros second baseman Jose Altuve launched 24 home runs – en route to the first MVP season of his career – and he needed just barely over 75 plate appearances to get it done.
So when he entered last night’s contest against the Angels with no homers in over 100 chances at the dish … his teammates were FURIOUS! (Okay, not really, but, like, we’re still havin’ fun, right?)
Which is why, when he finally launched one into the stands in left field, he returned to a dugout of cold shouldered silent-treatment.
A classic bamboozle:
But did Altuve let it bother him? No way, man:

He’s now slashing .333/.400/.402 with 1 HR on the year.
