ppbb Series Preview: Pirates v. Cubs, August 30 September 1, 2010The Chicago Cubs welcome the best team in the National League – at least according to the Cubs – the Pittsburgh Pirates. Fortunately the Cubs have had a long break from the Pirates, so hopefully they’re able to turn things around against their hated nemesis. Time for the Series Preview.

The idea is to hook you up with the bare minimum of what you need to know about every series this year. That way you can look like a genius, hardcore fan in front of all your friends, with minimum effort. Oh, and there will be pictures of beautiful women, too.

reds1 Series Preview: Cubs v. Reds, August 27 August 29, 2010The Chicago Cubs head to Cincinnati to take on the (still) best team in the National League Central – best not only in record, but in the sense that they might be able to keep the Cardinals out of the playoffs. I may still have antipathy for Dusty Baker, but I can’t say I hate the Reds right now. Time for the Series Preview.

nationals Series Preview: Cubs v. Nationals, August 23 25, 2010It’s Series Preview time again, as the Chicago Cubs head to our nation’s capital to take on the nation’s Nationals. I’d criticize and say they aren’t a great representative for our nation, but when you look at the other red, white and blue team taking the field tonight, you’ll see why I kept my mouth shut.

Atlanta Braves Series Preview: Braves v. Cubs, August 20 22, 2010It’s series preview time again as the Chicago Cubs welcome the now slightly improved Atlanta Braves. I’ll always root for the Cubs, but when a certain hulking first baseman comes up for the Braves, I’ll probably give him a cheer or two.

StLouisCardinals Series Preview: Cubs v. Cardinals, August 13 15, 2010It’s series preview time again as the Chicago Cubs continue their road trip, and head to some town in Missouri to play some team or other. I think it might be a scrimmage. Like a pre-season football game. Hey, wait… is there football on?
