Well, the Cubs don’t have many games left (9) to turn this ship around, but at least they’re doing so with Anthony Rizzo in their starting lineup, Javy Baez available as a pinch-runner (for now), Craig Kimbrel active out of the pen, and one of their top set-up man back in action.
Check it out …
Kintzler is symptom free and available out of the Cubs’ bullpen.

Kintzler, you’ll recall, was dealing with a mild left oblique strain and hasn’t pitched since September 10th. But according to Jordan Bastian, he’s now symptom free and available out of the Cubs pen this afternoon against the Cardinals.
Depending how good he (and Kimbrel, for that matter) actually feels, the Cubs bullpen circle of trust at the moment is kinda deep: Kimbrel, Kintzler, Wick, Wieck, and Ryan … with Chatwood (?) and Cishek (?) hanging around the periphery.
The Cubs need all the help they can get, even if that help isn’t feeling 100%. So good on Kintzler for getting back at it. Go Cubs.
Kintzler back for Cubs now, too.
"Rizzo inspired me," he joked. Also said he didn't want to waste a bullpen and is eager to get back into a game.
