X-Rays Clean for Domantas Sabonis After Dust Up With Draymond Green

In the 4th quarter of a tight battle between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, Domantas Sabonis and Draymond Green got into it.

After teammate Malik Monk missed a layup, Sabonois fell at the feet of Green. As the Warriors’ big man went to step over Sabonis, the Kings’ big man appeared to grab his right foot. Green proceeded to stomp down on Sabonis’ chest, which immediately led to the refs blowing the whistle.

Here’s the moment:

Sabonis remained on the ground for a while as Green clapped back at an arena full of Kings fans. The refs eventually went on to eject Green from the game and administer a technical to Sabonis. Fortunately for Sabonis, he was able to remain in the game and went on to put the exclamation point on the Kings’ 114-106 victory with a dunk. Sacramento now leads Golden State 2-0.

To no surprise, the Kings still wanted to ensure that Sabonis would be good to go moving forward. And the x-rays confirmed just that. The three-time All-Star will undergo some additional testing as a precaution, per Wojnarowski, but it appears he dodged any injury that would force him to miss time in this series.

Green said after the game that it was the second time in two games that his leg was grabbed by the Kings. Not being the most flexible person, he claimed his foot needs to land somewhere.

The first-round series now moves back to the Bay Area where the Warriors happen to be 33-8 this season. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. CT on Thursday.
