The guys over at Cub's Den are reporting that Pierce Johnson signed. I'm not sure, but I think that's the team's first official draft pick signing...obviously the highest pick (#43)

It's not quite official in the sense that the Cubs haven't announced it (he announced it himself), but yeah, it's happened. There are a handful of other guys in the same boat, but none as high as Johnson.

I've never followed a baseball draft close before, what is the normal time frame for teams to start to announce the signings.
