The other day, I turned on my car radio to 670The Score and they were in the middle of talking about Dempster playing for the White Sox. They were talking as if the deal had just been done and how great it will be to have Dempster pitching on the South Side and how he will improve attendance and their chances in the post season. I hadn't heard anything all day, having been at work and thought I'd missed the announcement. The "news" made me sick to my stomach for several reasons.

FORTUNATELY, what I heard was just some playing around and conjecture of what it would be like to have Dempster in a Sox uni.

It made me think though, about how much I would hate to see Dempster playing for the Sox. It'll be bad enough to see Dempster leave the Cubs organization and play for another team, but it would be even worse if that team were the White Sox, especially if he continues to pitch well, which I expect he will do, no matter where he goes - maybe he will pitch even better with a change of scenery.

I would like to be able to cheer Dempster on and hope for him to do well in his post-Cubs career, but I could not do so if it meant that it was helping the other Chicago team.

Hopefully Theo and Co would not consider a deal with the White Sox... or for that matter, any NL central team for similar reasons. Is it just me?

I don't want to have to watch him pitch for the White Sox. I don't think that they have the kind of prospects that Epstein is going to want in return though.

I wouldn't worry. I've never heard the Whitesox brought up in the list of possible suitors for Dempster.

I want him to be traded for the best return. I am a Cub fan. I want my team to be the best it can be. I don't care about people who play for other teams.

The Sox don't have the prospects to be in the running for Demp. I wouldn't worry about it.

If the discussion doesn't start with Viciedo, it may as well not start at all. Other than that, they have zilch other than Sale who won't be going anywhere.
