I know, I know I am old...some of you remember Mitch Williams pitching for the Cubs when you were like 5 or 6...not in college like I was. Anyhoo, I couldn't stand him as a pitcher. Threw hard,(real hard) horrible command, shit delivery, bad, bad mullett...just looked like an idiot out there.

Fast forward now 20 plus years later and Mitch is an analyst on the MLB network...and in my humble opinion a damn good one. His comments about pitching are insightful and intelligent. I am constantly amazed, saying "Is this the same guy?" to which my wife says "who the hell are you talking to?" But i wonder, was he really an idiot back then and smarten up in his post baseball days or did I unfairly judge a book by its cover.

Or maybe this is a different guy playing the role of Mitch Williams, or he has been replaced by a look a like android(a la Paul McCartney).

Probably not.

He always reminded me of a baseball version of Bear's QB Bobby Douglas - He could throw a ball through a brick wall, IF he could hit the wall.
Please don't feed the psychos.
