Actually Hawk is just silent when things go bad...it would be awful to be a blind Sox fan because you would constantly be yelling "what's going on hawk?"
I also like how it can be the most exciting thing in the world for the other team and his homerism is so bad that he still will not show any excitement
Long pause.........then in non excited fashion......."well thats the fifth unassisted triple play today by the Twins"
I can't stand him.....

The Sox should never be on WGN ever! WGN is part of the reason I became a Cubs fan.
In my youth I wanted very much to root for both teams, but the Sox were never on tv. The Cubs were ALWAYS on. It was an easy choice. When I moved to Iowa, I wanted some connection to the only home I had known. WGN and the Cubs were an easy answer. And I've met plenty of Cubs fans who say they are fans because of WGN. (FWIW, some Braves/TBS folks, too.) I am fortunate enough to live in one of few communities in Iowa with a choice in cable providers and the local provider offer CSN Chicago. Mediacom does not. Their salesmen have told me "Well, I heard they were working on getting it." K. You let me know when they do.
I do have to snicker at the commercials CSN and WGN make proclaiming their coverage as the best. IT'S THE SAME DAMN COVERAGE JUST ON DIFFERENT CHANNELS! I have always found the two channel thing ridiculous. When are we getting a Cubs network? 2020? I should start pushing my local cable company to get that now. Still trying to drum up support for MLB Network. "If enough people call and say they want it, we'll add it." the cable company tells me. I ask my neighbors and friends to make a phone call for me. Some still won't do it. A frickin' phone call. Oh yeah and don't get me started on MLBTV...
(Sorry for the stream of thought post. Good coffee this morning.)
