Okay so I might be moving. The building I'm considering doesn't allow satellite dishes, those rat bastards. The cable company available blows goats (sorry MG) and doesn't carry Comcast Sports. I am wanting to know if there's another option, possibly online. I think I might die without my Directv. To the point that I might not move if I can't have it.

Whatever you do, don't get MLB.tv if you're within a state or two of Chicago...

Brett, I've heard Iowa receives the most blackouts of any state due to our proximity to Minnesota, Illinois and Missouri.

Move up North, Katie. My local phone company does cable and gets CSN Chicago. I love it and am not complaining, but how stupid is that when you are that much closer to Chi. than I am?

Move to California! Only 6 blackout games per year (well, maybe 9 if we have a series against Oakland). Plus, it's awesome here.

I have to second the awesomeness of California. There is a reason that even though I am stuck working out of an airport in northern Virgina I still live in California.

Um Michigan only has the Tigers in blackout although I'm really close to Chicago. The blackouts are just a strange, strange invention

Iowa isn't the worse. I am in Hawaii (if you have heard me say this before feel free to skip this). I am stationed here with the Navy and only "local broadcast" games are Dodgers. I watch mainly through MLB.tv and am blacked out to SF, both LA teams, SD, Oak, and Seattle. I dont even know if I have i worse, I hear from other MLB fans that Las Vegas is hell for blackouts. Either way I feel your pain on Direct TV. Most places on the island I can't get it and the local cable company doesnt work with the NFL at all so I get really strapped for football games when that season comes around.
