So in the past few weeks we've seen the fanbase search for their scapegoat (I really hate that term). First it was lazy ass Soriano and currently it's Sveum stupid ass lineups, so what's next? Get out your crystal balls: my guess... Dick Tidrow (he's been forgotten around these parts).

Clearly it's all the fault of the Sean Marshall trade. A single relief pitcher is obviously all that stands in the way of the Cubs' current roster becoming a playoff juggernaut. Nothing solves a weak bench and a struggling offense like a solid, left handed eighth inning guy. Theo should obviously be exiled for even contemplating trading away such a paragon of baseball excellence.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to call a repair guy for my sarcasm meter. It seems to have suddenly blown a circuit.

I mean, Sveum does throw together some stupid ass lineups. But the real goat is going to be when Rizzo gets called up and the Cubs don't immediately embark on a ten game winning streak. God help us if he slumps at any point during the first month, or even through the rest of the season. I won't be able to handle the bitching

Maybe I'll embark on a "reasons why Soriano should not be traded" campaign.

God no. We wouldn't score a run for the rest of the season.

Shouldn't have a problem finding this or next weeks goat. Just watch the games and you can flip a coin and come up with anybody on the current roster or any body involved with it. Maybe start a Weak player of the Week award.Plenty of candidates.

Need the laugh about now. Let the posters vote.

I fear that Ricketts will receive the arrows this week, the outfield grass and all about the money voices are already rising

Well if he weren't such a money-grubber. Seriously, why did he allow Theo to throw this season? WHY WHY WHY???

The Cubs should ALWAYS follow the 2011 model and spend money just for the sake of spending it.
