Boston was able to dump some big money off the books in the future and defuse a problem between Youk and Valatine. White Sox needed offensive and defensive production out of third base giving the White Sox insurance until Morell can heal and return next season and really giving nothing in return and being dollar neutral. Sounds like a win win for both teams.

Boston only saved about $2 million in the deal, for what that's worth.Loved the video.

Either way, I sure hope Lillibridge sees the video and sends the kid a signed jersey or something.

it's possible that this will turn this kid off of the White Sox forever.
Nah, Boston fans all survived The Nomar Trade (me too, in its time). I heard plenty of adults crying about that one (me, too). But, it wasn't enough to put you off your team.
Feeling this kind of pain is so strange. Let's not pretend that only little kids feel it. It's just as adults we lose our ability to express it so well...
except maybe in game threads.
