So, Mr. Wright has a club option for next year, but if the Mets decline it, he will become a FA. How many people would like to see him in a Cubs uni next season? He turns 30 in December. I can see him asking for something in the 5/100, 6/108 range. Thoughts on the Cubs going after him if he's a FA, or on those numbers I threw out?

I'd rather have Headley than Wright, but if Headley costs too much in terms of trade and Wright is a free agent, it could change my views.

Got to agree with KJ. Headley would be my pick also because of age and costs.
Two fine players thou.

I havent paid much attention to the Mets or Wright over the past few years. It's like their team has done a complete remake. Also is it me or does Wright look different from the past years ? I swear I didnt recognize him last night.

They secretly replaced the broken one with one that works.

The Mets will surely take the option, won't they?

Two things about Headley (who I really like):
1) He is 28. That's not too far off of 30. By time were competitive, he's 30-31. No good.
2) The Padres apparently want a butt-load (which I like to believe is an actual unit of measurement)
