Was reading around and i saw that the Blue Jays would be interested not only in Garza but Wells also. With all their injuries do y'all think it would happen? What would the return be for one or both of them? What are you're thoughts in general?

That makes some sense. Toronto, if they are going to stay in contention, needs some pitching help at the Garza level, but they won't want to dump their farm system for some patches so they'll try to pick up some help on the cheap.

Luke, in your opinion, what would the return be like? I know it wouldnt be substanstial but a A or a AA pitcher?

For just Wells, a speculative high risk A ball guy or moderate ceiling Double A guy might be about right.

If Dempster or Garza is in the deal, the return would be much, much higher.

d'Arnaud tore his PCL this week http://www.cbssports...cl-out-68-weeks now they are saying 6-8 weeks but a catcher who is recovering from a tore PCL is not what any team wants to take on.

If there are teams desperate enough to have to slightest interest in Wells, we should be pushing Coleman, Rusin, Volstad, Lopez, and anything else with starting pitching experience and a pulse.

Travis d'Arnaud just went down with torn PCL. That makes his stock go way down, especially as a catcher with a knee injury. Maybe his stock went down enough for the Cubs to land him in a trade with the Jays. Thoughts?.....

Unlikely. D'Arnaud is an elite guy, and a PCL tear isn't that big a deal in this day and age. He'll have zero ill effects by spring training unless some very significant complication occurs.

Toronto's the most logical candidate for a pitcher... they have so many of them on the DL you'd think Dusty Baker's their manager
