What are you crazy???? You have to poke at goats after all that the Cubs and goats around the world have been through? If the Cubs suck next year, I'm blaming Phil.............and Mike Quade.

Are you looking to make your own?

Here is one from The Virtual Weber site. Very simple, very good:

No. 5 Sauce

1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon worchestershire sauce
1 tablespoon rub
Opional but v. good: 1/4 cup meat drippings
(whats left in the foil after the rest)
Simmer to marry the flavors and thicken as desired.

Yup I've made a few before but typically my family complains it's too spicy or hickory (they have a very blan BBQ palate) so I said I'd try something different , thought I'd reach out to Pit Master Phil for advice. Thanks.

I made a completely outstanding bourbon bbq sauce a few years back. There's very little likelihood of me finding it (or even remembering to look this evening), but if I do find it, I'll post it. I think it's got ~1/2cup of Maker's Mark in it...

My go to sauce is a doctored up version of a local saucemaker. Big Poppa's regular sauce has fair kick (spicy tingle) to it - I thin it with bourbon and add a little honey. Mmmm good!

We made some apple crisp from scratch the other night after going apple picking. It was all kinds of Brady Bunch.
