So basically Tyler Colvin is the current version of scrappy love and Tony Campana is our current scrappy love player. So I though we should remember the years past and try list all those players that are full of Scrappy Love.

Dougie Dacenzo is the original scrappy love in my book. You may find players with less talent before him, but none were "appreciated" for being scrappy like he was.

It's been going on for a long time. Scrappy 1 Scrappy 2 Scrappy 2 starts with "Randy Myers brawled on the field with a fan". Now, that is scrappy.

Micah Hoffpauir

So many fans were "all up in his jock" screaming for him to replace DLee

Ah, I also remember people saying that the Cubs shouldn't pursue the "over the hill veteran" Teixeira to replace DLee on the grounds that the Cubs should go with Youth in Hoffpauir. Of course, Teix is a month younger than Hoffpauir.....

Wasn't there a lot of scrappy love for Jake Fox? He ran so hard after balls in the OF! Of course, the fact that he had to stand there for a couple of seconds to get any clue where the ball was going to land lent to that....

I remember that same arguement Doc and yes Jake Fox got some scrappy love as did Matt Murton and Ryan Theriot had plenty but was around for a season too long.
