The only quarterback to win a Super Bowl for the Bears and the one tasked with bringing the next Lombardi Trophy to Chicago will share a stage later this summer.
Jim McMahon and Mitch Trubisky will star on a panel at the Bears 100 Celebration Weekend, which takes place June 7-9 in Rosemont. And you better believe these two are excited to be a part of the festivities:

Sure, the panel featuring Hall of Fame linebackers Dick Butkus, Mike Singletary, and Brian Urlacher is a headliner, but getting the last two Bears quarterbacks to be selected to the Pro Bowl in the same room will certainly be a treat.
The McMahon-Trubisky panel will be a little bit of old school meets a little bit of new school, and those types of events are always fun. It’s also worth noting the two have exchanged tweets since Trubisky was drafted, but it will be interesting to get the two together in one place to see what comes up in conversation.
It’s fun to imagine McMahon weaving tales of Super Bowl glory and his time as a headband-wearing rebel who pushed back against authority figures such as his own head coach and the NFL Commissioner. Especially when you contrast McMahon’s style to that of Trubisky, who has been more reserved and to himself during his first two seasons in Chicago. Then again, Trubisky was clever enough to use McMahon’s name as an alias when he met with the Bears at North Carolina. It’s an odd-couple pairing that should be fun featuring fan favorites.
