I'm not sure if it's true, but Brickhouse used to tell the story that "Kiki" Cuyler got his nickname from Rogers Hornsby. Hornsby hated catching pop ups in short right from his 2nd base position. Cuyler was in RF. So every time a pop up was hit, Hornsby would yell - Cuy, Cuy!
