Re: Barney. If he's traded, I see him added as an incentive (e.g. with Garza?) to net a higher upgrade player(s) in return. Traded by himself, it would be better to keep him. We be ahead by doing so, financially and otherwise.

Point being Theo has no commit or allegiance to any one individual, he will use any player as trade material if the deal looks advantageous for the Cubs

Theo's job is to make the Cubs better. Should have no love for any player if he thinks it makes them better.
