Good tribute to Santo, but winning the game would be good too.

It is like this team is bipolar, very good for several weeks then pathetic for several weeks.

Even though this club is not going anywhere this season, it is still painful to see them piss games away the way they do. They get bogged down in a funk that sinks their pitching and hitting ability. It's a mystery.

Do we have anyone on this team who can pitch? Any volunteers around here? I'm desperate for even good softball lobs that have kinky fool-me stuff.

I think Tim Wakefield is available.

Do you know his phone number?

Lynn wanted nothing to do with Rizzo, so he intentionally unintentionally walked him......to get to Soriano a "chaser" and much easier out.

It has to be grating on Sveum to see the deadbirds do everything right (hitting with 2 strikes, bunting runners over, sac flies when needed, etc., etc., etc.) while his guys can even advance a runner when they're lucky to have one on. Wonder how he deals with stuff like that? He doesn't show any signs of "anger"

.....maybe Theo is reassuring him "help" is on the way.....

The embarrassment continues. Holliday, Beltan........anyone else want to hit a HR? Wood is serving up freebees........now's the time to step up. [snark]

Sveum is hoping the heat causes deadbirds to burn-out running the bases as much as they are. [snark]

It does matter. The thing is that the Cubs don't have a one that matters.
