Asking Germano to throw a lot of fast balls for a guy that doesn't throw 85.

Hmmm....is Sveum tipping his hand here?

By doing what?

....by hinting [strongly] that Ryan would be gone by tomorrow....

Len announces Dempster is scheduled to pitch tomorrow night.....as he's still a Cub. THat flies in the face of what Sveum said, which is he'd [Sveum] be surprised if Dempster is around by then.

Not really, right now Dempster is still a Cub and tommorow is his scheduled start (until he gets traded). It's just the way things sit (for now).

This whole Dempster thing has me gauging everything said by the powers-at-be and reading stuff into nuanced and obvious comments. I'm in a sad state of affairs! LOL

I actually prefer it that way. If they do make a trade it is nice (hopefully?) surprise, and if they don't make the trade I am less disappointed. With the added bonus of not hearing so many people attacking the player, front office, etc for busted trades.
