The first post-deadline game. It all changes here.

For other teams.

I really dont understand the point of call up Cardenas to have him sit on the bench.

I look for Cardenas to ph again today.... and if he hits, I wouldn't be surprised to see Sveum leave him in the game. And yes---letting him take Valbuena's spot at 3rd.

The auditions (for 2013) continue, even for vets like Wood, Volstad, Coleman, et. al. Everbody gets the chance to fail on their own or....show how adept they've become at overcoming their question-mark status. These games will chart their futures.

Wood cut his mullet. I think he reads BN and saw my comment about only one mullet can succeed and decided to take one for the team. Now maybe we can get him and shark going at the same time.

I was going to be really pissed if wood walked the pitcher.

That 3-2 count on Karstens had me worried Wood would cave and walk him. Glad that didn't happen. A good ending to what could have turnedd out differently.

Happy for LaHair there. I root hard for that dude and maybe that base hit gets his confidence back at the plate.

It better...because there's someone maybe being called up soon.

I would like to see W. Castillo play more often. I dont like the idea of platooning catchers because it does not allow the pitching staff to get comfortable with either one. Plus, Castillo has put up some very impressive numbers in AAA, and Clevenger has been slumping a bit.
