Since I've been in and out of internet access, I may have missed this and if so, I apologize.

I read in a few places that the Dempster/Atlanta deal was Delgado PLUS a lesser prospect. Was it ever released who that prospect was going to be?

I'd like to be more informed while being a smidge sad about it.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have another question about that deal. Everyone seemed to think that include Delgado in the deal was very generous for a 2-month rental. Why were the Braves' willing to include Delgado in the deal? Temporary insanity? Or what?

No nothing solid or even confirmed, time to move on Dempster is gone and we can all forget the Dempster Saga of 2012

We are only going to get angrier if we continue playing what if we will all go mad.

Agree, hope I never hear Randall Delgado's name again. Let's pray the prospects we got for him in the Texas deal, or Vizaino turn out better than him and we can all laugh about how it worked out so great for the Cubs.

I don't believe it was a top 30 prospect.

I also remember brett saying a dempster, clevenger/castillo, and johnson/baker for delgado, and christian bethancourt.

The Cubs were potentially paying demsters salary, thus buying talent the old fashioned way. A great move by our front office that just got refused by our former player. I agree, time to move on
