This team has been crap. Worse than crap since the trades went down. Not much effort, not much mental toughness, not much of anything it seems. It's a shame to see. But this is about to be an ugly, ugly couple of months. Which is unfortunate because they were playing very well before all this. Not it's just playing out the string and for us, watching a shit load of bad baseball. Sucks.

This Cubs team as constituted is group rather than a team. More specifically, it's a transition group with pieces that will be permanent fixtures and many others that are fillers biding their time. The sad part of this limbo situation is as WIllis says, will be hard to watch. In moments like these, I feel what is unfolding as the process called "progress" is tougher on us fans than on team members. They play, get paid. We watch and eat shit. Being a Cubs fan is hell. Can I hear an "Amen"?
Amen. It's going to be a tough couple of months to deal with this crap. Ugly and uglier. This is when we'll all be tested. Trying to realize what is going on and accepting that there is a greater good out there. Even if you/me/us get there, still will be frustrating.
