Brooks Raley makes his debut, and he could have a better circumstance - Padres, at Petco.

Hey, man, I'm only half-kidding. I much prefer 7PM east coast games. Listen to the first 3 innings at work, watch the last 2 innings after putting the boy to bed.

Oh, I know. I would freaking LOVE it if all games started at, like, 5:30pm my time. Early dinner with the family, and then I can settle into my evening while watching the game. I guess afternoon games are nice, too, now that I can watch them while at work.

Well.....it looks like even DeJesus (who one could count on for hanging-in-there and eeking out a hit) is joining the other like Castro and Jackson (yeah, I know he's new) and looking bad.

My mlb video went blank and I only caught his strike 3. Can't comment.

Not a bad start for Raley. He does have the edge--at least for now--being that the Pads have never seen him before. Here's hoping he is a bright light in all the darkness the absence of the Cubs offense has created.
