Cubs Trivia:

Which Cubs pitcher's perfect game was broken up with two outs in the ninth inning when he issued a (very questionable*) walk to Larry Stahl in 1971?

I just heard a great interview with him on the radio. He was actually on with Bruce Froemming and the two of them were going at it... 40 years later and the wound is still fresh.

He was so gracious to Z after his no hitter, but still took time to seethe about his "perfect" game. I thought he came off as a real douchenozzle. Yes it is a level of disappointing that I can't begin to comprehend, but 40 years, dude. Being angry won't change the call. Time to move on.

We have a family friend who was at the game, I remember him telling me about it when I was a kid. Also this, Milt Pappas had a lot to be angry about in his life.

I would like to take a moment to gloat, as this is my first ever win on the Cubs Trivia question... Thank you, thank you very much... (I know it was an easy one, but hey, it's a win)

Ironic that the calendar chose to remind us of Milt Pappas' near perfection today, of all days.
