Chris Rusin making his debut - at least there's something new to watch.

See, thing is, if the kid starts for the Brewers -- or any of the other 28 -- he'd throw 7+ innings of one-hit ball. Since he's pitching for us, he'll go 4.1 w/ 6 ERs.

What was that one-hit wonder kid from two seasons ago? I think he's out of bball now, or somewhere deep in the minors. Came up for one game, pitched killer (but I think got a no-decision), and disappeared back in the minors. Maybe some injury or something?

Come on, help me out. Mighta had an Irish name. O'hara? O'Malley?

Yeah. Pretty good game the kid had, too. His next start was good, too. Never saw the majors again after that.

Rusin shows his teammates how an "offense" looks. Great first ml at bat---without a doubt!

Vitters is frozen in his stance at the plate. Or is he afraid to swing the bat? I don't get what all this letting hittable pitches pass by. What's that all about?

terrible-----terrible-----terrible at bats by Cubs. They look as though they have no sense of what they are doing. They look so relaxed at the plate that calls of strike 1 and strike 2 don't phase them one bit-----until they show the inner panic in their swing at strike three---a swing that tells just how unnerved they are inside. I don't get it.
