Cubs Fact:

The 1990 MLB All-Star Game was played at Chicago's Wrigley Field.

Kind of a boring fact today. How about this: In 1871 after the Cubs stadium burned down along with all their uniforms, in the Great Chicago Fire, they finished the season on the road in borrowed uniforms. They ended up in second place, two games back.

I can sill clearly remmeber the 1962 All-Star game at Wrigley. I know the AL won that one too, like they did in 1990. I recall that Leon Wagner and Rocky Colavito had good days and that Johnny Roseboro hit a meaningless homer late in the game - off of our soon to be dear friend, Milt Pappas. Only the HR wasn't meaningless to me because I really liked Roseboro and recall being shocked a few short years later when he was knocked on the head by Marichal. RIP, Johnny Roseboro.
