The Giants are super hot coming into this series. But the Cubs are super hot if you count the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth innings of yesterday's game only.

Well much like success in the playoffs relates to playing well in September, the Giants should be terrified coming in to Wrigley after the last few innings the Cubs have had.

1-0 Cubs. Nice SB and hustle to cross the plate.

3rd inning and Baumgarner @ 72! And he's getting plastered! CASTILLO -- flying like a bullet in motion around the bases! Hope the lead holds for a win!

It's shocking to see Bumgarner struggle against the Cubs. He's killed us the last couple times we saw him -- and I was there both times.

Baumgarner may recover and pitch decently the rest of the way (however long that may be). The question, it seems to me, will be: Will Volstad stay good enough to keep the Giants two or three runs back? We'll see. They are already on the board......

What the fuck? Did Moreland just say "bitchin'" in reference to the Giants post All-Star Break record?

.....a healthy tendency observed: Vitters is smacking the ball with solid contact. Now if he call only line it where they ain't.......
