Cubs Trivia:

Which Cubs second baseman, nicknamed "The Crab", reportedly weighed less than 100 pounds when he broke into the Major Leagues in 1902?

Jeff, I can't see your picture. Well, unless you posted a picture of a red "x" in a white box, that I can see fine.

I just googled it. I take it all back. Someone should be able to take a blind guess and get it methinks. At least most Cub fans have heard of the guy.

They weren't the Cubs in 1902. They were the Orphans. I think the name change came in 1903. I nEVERS heard that nickname before though.

I think it was due to a STD he picked up in Milwaukee.

not to be late to the party, but what other second baseman from the era would anyone have guessed. It is a Cubs calandar, they want us to know the answers. I guess maybee I got through college in a much different era, but that is about the most obvious of obvious guesses that there could have been. No, I didn't know that he was called the crab, but duh!!

Are you sure he didn't get it from Tinkers? Or, did he give it to Chance? Lame joke I know.

These are the ones we usually mess around with and hint at the answer for awhile. Kind of like when I wrote "I nEVERS heard that nickname before though."
