Since the Cubs blew out the Nationals last night, I can only assume David DeJesus was their Kryptonite.
The Chris Rusin try-out tour continues tonight. Can he keep pulling this off? On the other side of the bump is the guy who was a Cub for about 15 minutes in November, Dan Haren. He was never actually a Cub (the front office backed out of the Marmol/Haren swap after reviewing Haren’s medicals), which has proved to be a relative good thing.
The lineup is interesting, featuring the return of Brian Bogusevic (also in a try-out) and Starlin Castro batting all the way down in the 8 spot.
On the Nats’ side, old friend Scott Hairston gets a start against the lefty, Rusin.
