I guess Ricky Nolasco is better than Clayton Kershaw. Nolasco humbled the Cubs today, and they never had a shot.
Edwin Jackson threw a season high 124 pitches, and he wasn’t really bad, giving up just six hits and two walks in 6.2 innings. Two of those hits were homers, though, and he caused himself a problem with a throwing error.
Dale Sveum didn’t stick around to see the ending. Or the beginning. He was ejected arguing a check swing strike on the first batter Jackson faced.
