Just got the email an hour or so ago, I'm up to #75,292. At this rate it'll be 2033 before I get season tickets.

Sorry Brett, what are your plans for opening day 2037? Oh, and you can only come if you dress up like Duff Man.

By 2037, I expect to have already gone through the formal transformation into Duff Man.

So what you're saying is that right now you're a pre-op Duff Man?

Yup. I'm in that stage where I have to live my life as Duff Man, although anatomically, I am not yet Duff Man.

Oh, and since I wont be able to afford the tickets when my number comes up how about this - send me a check for $1500 over the face value of the tickets and then I will send the tickets to you when I get them along with $1500 in cash...this way you get to write the whole amount off your taxes...

I've got the payment thing figured out. As long as my 401(k) doesn't tank in the next 20-30 years, I'll pull the money out of there.

Sweet! Nothing like planning a little tax fraud in public. :)

So I shouldn't have emailed Tim Geithner to get his take on the best way to handle this?

I was getting worried last year that my number would be called in the next couple of years but now I bet not.

Have faith, there are quite a few season ticket holders who are getting on in years. You just have to wait until they pass on. I know it might be a while, but it's probably the only way you'll be moving up the waiting list any time soon.
