Cubs Trivia:

What number was worn by legendary Cubs pitchers Ferguson Jenkins and Greg Maddux?

Uninteresting non Cubs fact: They also shared #30 (Jenkins wore 30 as a Phillie and Maddux wore 30 as a Padre).

Hey I knew one!
This is the first one of these that made me feel like a Cub.
I only knew it because I had just read it in an old post by Brett on retired numbers just last week. I wasn't thinking Chicago thoughts in 2009, and I was surprised I didn't remember hearing about a double retired number.

Knowing this Cubs Fact feels good; feels like a loop closed-- just like my first year as a fan has just finished up.

Had this song stuck in my head all morning, Starwheel by Bruce Cockburn, so I am feeling the big circles today.

Go, Cubs.

You picked a heck of a time to become a Cub Fan. Congrats on surviving your first year!

Thanks. At least I won't forget it. Got to see LaHair be "Ruthian" for a while early in the year, too.
