Marlins trade: Giancarlo Stanton, Jacob Turner and Logan Morrison
Then trade Garza, Marmol and Sori plus lots of money for Mike Olt and Martin Perez

That being said; it's always fun to propose trades.

Your proposal comes up way too short. Quantity doesn't equal quality.
Baez is a must. Soler would be, too. Especially considering the market. The Cubs would then have to add a highly valued, starting pitcher. Samardzija fits that criteria(People forget how high Samardzija's value is, right now. It will probably never be higher). Lake could intrigue the Marlin's. They're starving for infield talent. Finally, Vizcaino may have enough promise to appease the Marlin's need for quality arms.
Cubs trade: Baez, Soler, Samardzija, Lake, Vizcaino
Marlins trade: Stanton
The Cubs then extend Garza.
My trade probably wouldn't get it done either!

True but If I were the Cubs front office I couldn't fathom trading Baez and Soler.
For a player like Stanton? I would.
Stanton is just 22. Last season, he put up a .290/.361/.608 line, with 37 home runs.
There's a good chance that one of Soler and Baez doesn't pan out; maybe both.
Stanton is one of the most valuable proven commodities in all of baseball.
This is a hypothetcal trade proposal recently made by Jim Bowden, a former longtime GM:
Texas Rangers-Miami Marlins trade
Rangers give up: Jurickson Profar, Mike Olt and Martin Perez
Acquire: Giancarlo Stanton and Ricky Nolasco
Profar is arguably the best prospect in baseball. Olt is top 20. Perez is top 35.

Please stop trying to derail the topic.
A few of us are having some fun, throwing out trade ideas.
Take the policing somewhere else.
I think the point fromthemitten was getting at was that we tend to leave the name calling for the front boards. We try to be civil with each other here, and Cubsin is a regular that doesn't ever insult anyone. Showing the same courtesy that you'd like to be shown isn't asking that much, and calling him 'Granny' for stating his opinion seemed a bit off. Maybe it was a joke - dunno. It did seem like it was meant as more of an insult from my perspective. Clearly you have the right to say whatever you want, but don't get upset if you're called out for it when it happens.

Why are the three of you so intent on purposefully derailing a perfectly harmless trade proposal correspondence?
"I'm really glad Theo and Jed are in charge, and neither of these trades will ever happen."
That's Cubsin's response. A far cry from a simple opinion. If you're unable to recognise the condescending motives behind Cubsin's post, specifically in his opening words("I'm really glad Theo and Jed are in charge"), then There's no point in going any further.
Now please, stop derailing this thread. Some of you are ridiculously intolerant.

How much more expensive do you think Stanton is than Upton?
I tend to think that Upton would be considerably cheaper.

Upton would be cheaper but obviously a 23 yr old Good defensive Of with speed and the power to hit 40 plus every season for the next 10-12 seasons and is very cheap salary wise would be much more interesting than a 25 yr old who just hit 17 HRs in a.full season.
